Dusky Nobody Else Zippy Lyrics
Nothing says Friday like waking up to some new music that you’ll inevitably be jamming to for the entirety of the weekend, even if it’s just in two minute snippets. Music duo, fresh off the release of their Nobody Else EP on Aus Music, are readying up to unleash another selection of choice tunes for the dance-floor: the Vanishing Point EP, which will be released on BrEaCh’s label, Naked Naked.Dusky really seem to take advantage of every release to establish and fine-tune their signature sound, to the point where listeners everywhere can pinpoint their creations through their warped, emotion-drenched vocal samples and telltale, bottom-reaching bass-lines.
This EP is a prime example, with the title track “Vanishing Point” somehow turning impassioned, deepened vocals into something that sounds so sad, yet sensual at the same time. The progression in the song is subtle, but pretty effectively jaw-dropping with the addition of just one instrument, where you can go from a near-still stance to all-out dancing from one second to the next.“Truth Capital T” shows off some beautiful synth-work and is a tad milder than the first song, with some sparingly used spoken word and some female crooning vocal samples; it really highlights the various beat patterns that go into making the track. It’s just so smooth. The tone is lighter, happier: a good divider to cut between two very deep and pensive tracks. The last song is a deeper mix of “Vanishing Point,” which is hard to imagine considering how bottomless Dusky’s original production is, but they really go deep-sea deep, which comes out sounding pretty ethereal and weightless at times, until the bass kicks in again.Look out for the EP’s release on Naked Naked on June 3rd, and have fun listening to the previews below.
