Laptop Making Beep Sound
Mar 29, 2013 hey there is a beeping noise coming from my computer i keep it on for 10min and it does not come on it just keeps beeping. It makes a beeping sound and a sound.
So, I know my laptop is an older model, but I am having a strange issue. Lately, I have been hearing a random beep, not through my headphones but what seems like a built in speaker on the motherboard. It happens at completely random intervals, and lasts about 1 1/2 seconds.Event Viewer sheds no light on any possible error that could be causing this.I have opened up the laptop, cleaned out the dust, applied thermal paste, and checked all the connections on hardware, everything seems fine.Does anyone have any ideas? Has anyone else encountered this? I have modded my system, I went from 4gb of RAM to 16gb.One thing that could be causing it, but had a delayed reaction? The 4gb stick of RAM that came in my laptop was 1.5v, while the 2 sticks of 8gb each I put in were 1.35v. I haven't noticed an issue, and this is a relatively new occurence happening.I am also on the default BIOS settings, and I currently cannot run the extensive system test, but I will get back to you on the results of that tomorrow.Another thing, my laptop is almost constantly overheating.

I have reapplied thermal paste on the processor, and cleaned the vents, but 1 single fan along with 1 pretty long heat pipe and a tiny heatspreader is not doing me any good.Currently as I am typing this message, CoreTemp says my processor is 63 celcius, but I am constantly reaching the TJ max of 96 celcius. Hi,Thanks for the update,I would personally suggest this could be a hardware failure with the PC.
